The grand opening of Drebkau / Drjowk Castle took place on 6 September 2024 with gun salutes from the local hunting club, musical accompaniment from strings of the Cottbus Philharmonic Orchestra and numerous guest speakers. Even though not everything has been finalised and the official date for the start of use will not take place until later, there was a great deal of interest from the public. In addition to numerous citizens, planners, craftsmen and local associations, guests from politics and administration were also present. The castle was also open to the public on the following days as part of the ‘Fountain Festival 2024.
