The European company Mercury, a leading provider of complex construction and engineering solutions, planned an expansion in Magdeburg/Schönebeck with a new offsite manufacturing (OSM) facility featuring approximately 13,000 square meters of modern production space. Since 2023, we at PTAI have supported Mercury Engineering & Building Services GmbH as the executing planning office. Our scope of services included the architectural design of a sustainably conceived production building with adjoining administrative units, as well as comprehensive construction controlling to ensure the achievement of project objectives.
Today, the official opening of the new plant engineering center took place in the presence of Saxony-Anhalt’s Minister-President Sven Schulze, representatives of Mercury’s management, and partner companies. In the future, engineering solutions and prefabricated systems will be developed and manufactured in Schönebeck and delivered to project sites across 15 regions in Europe.
