On August 30, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Catholic School Center in Leinefelde-Worbis took place. The center will include three high school tracks, two regular school tracks, and a three-field sports hall. The event opened with a musical performance by the Bergschule St. Elisabeth choir, followed by greetings from Dr. Martin Fahnroth and Bishop Dr. Ulrich Neymeyr. Speeches by District Administrator Dr. Marion Frant, Mayor Christian Zwingmann, and architect Ralph Hengst preceded the ceremonial digging.
